7th pay commission will be implemented for state government employees of Chattisgarh

The implementation of the Seventh central Pay Commission has been announced for state government employees in Chattisgarh. The announcement of the seventh pay commission was made by Chief Minister of Chattisgarh, Raman Singh.The move by the Chattisgarh government is expected to benefit 2.5 lakhs state government employees.

The Lavasa Committee was constituted in June last year after the government implemented the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission.Out of a total of 196 allowances, it had recommended the abolition of 53 and subsuming of another 36 into larger existing ones. Chattisgarh is one of the few states which has successfully implemented the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
